  Reading the previous reviews makes me feel that you are rating Cathedral on what or how much they did for you! Seriously -- I'm sure they have no trouble remembering members who actually attend everyonce in a while or contributed any amount in the previous few years. I don't think a review about anything but is it a good church for you and your family is appropriate. I gave it average because although they have great services on Sunday, my kids and teen liked another church in the area. Cathedral's pastor wants to use the church for large meetings and conferences as a facility but the day to day church is really pretty nonactive. Most of the members in positions of leadership are some more wealthy (although i will say this church seems to have more educated and wealthy people than any other NonDenominational churches I've been to. Music sounds awesome but looks a little fake so I close my eyes and enjoy it very much. Overall a good church if you don't have kids or want to be too involved (ALL positions are paid employees especially the music--not sure if they don't have much local talent or if they just prefer the dramatized performances from the New York couple. You will never see any teens or children singing or performing even at the "Family Services" though so if you or your children are blessed with musical talent, you would be better off to keep looking. Triumph(BMT&Nederland), Journey (lumberton) and Encounter(Portneches) have much stronger youth and children programs in place but this church is great to relax and enjoy for a little while
